One of the best things about being a commercial video producer in Puerto Vallarta is that I get to learn about all kinds of things to do in Puerto Vallarta.
Here is a list of things to do that I learned about through my recent video work.
Take an Electric Bike tour
We recently made this video for Puerto Vallarta Electric Bikes. These bicycles have electric motors, so when you’re tired of pedaling, you can just hit the button and let the motor do the work for you!
Rent a Villa
There are numerous villas for rent in Puerto Vallarta. This is the city of hospitality, and staying in a luxury villa is definitely one of the best ways to experience that hospitality. Let your family or group be pampered and catered to while you relax and swim in the pool. Staying in a villa is so much fun because the whole family or group can be together, yet have separate spaces to retreat to. Most villas have staff including a chef, a housekeeper, and a houseman, concierge or security guard. There really is nothing better than waking up to breakfast already prepared and spending the day lounging by the pool while the staff brings you cocktails until lunch is ready. Staying in a villa is honestly one of the best ways to feel pampered in Puerto Vallarta.
We have made promotional videos for two villas: Villa Los Arcos and Casa del Quetzal. Both videos are below.
Hire a Film Crew to Document Your Vacation
While we’re on the subject of groups staying in villas, I have to plug our Vacation Video service. This is really one of the most fun things to do when you’re on trip to Puerto Vallarta with a group such as a group of friends, a bachelor/bachelorette party, or really any group. We have made a few videos for groups and individuals vacationing in Vallarta. People love these videos because they are something fun to share on social media, and they are also like a time capsule, and it’s fun to look back a year or two later.
“PV Shore” was a reality TV style long form video that we made for a group of 11 friends visiting Vallarta together to celebrate the birthdays of 3 of the friends. If I remember correctly, one person was turning 30, one person was turning 25, and one person was turning 24. They stayed in a villa, went out to the nightclubs, and went on a snorkeling excursion on a private boat that they rented just for their group. They wanted the video to be in the style of the TV show “Jersey Shore,” so we followed them around with our camera crew for 3 days, and we even set up “confessional” style interviews in their villa with a green screen. Check out our final video below. We can do this for your group, too!
Visit a Waterfall
We had the pleasure of making a video for AE Wellness to promote their yoga and wellness retreats. After a sunrise yoga session, the group headed to the nearby town of Quimixto to hike to the waterfall. You need to take a panga (water taxi) to Quimixto, and we jumped in the boat with our cameras in tow. The hike to the waterfall is fairly easy, if a bit long. It takes about an hour. You can also ride horses to the waterfall if you don’t want to walk.
See a Show
There is so much great entertainment in Puerto Vallarta, and we have been fortunate to film numerous concerts and plays over the years. Recently, we started making music videos for the artists who play here, too. Some of the artists live in Puerto Vallarta full time, and some are just passing through. Stolie is a singer/songwriter, guitar player, and loop pedal artist who spends her winters in Puerto Vallarta and her summers touring through the United States and Canada. Here is a music video we made for her at a local bar, La Casa de Hugo.
