DOCUMENTARY FILM PRODUCTION
I am proud to share my latest film: “The Pencil and the Thread: 50 Years of Collaboration”.
This short documentary film accompanies an exhibition at Arte Vallarta Museo. Yael Lurie is a designer and painter originally from Israel, and Jean Pierre Larochette is a fourth-generation tapestry weaver in the French tradition, who was born in Argentina. The two have been married and working together as artists for over 50 years. Yael creates fantastic paintings and designs, and Jean Pierre materializes her designs by weaving them into exquisite tapestries. Watch the film to learn about the artists, and catch their exhibit at Arte Vallarta Museo in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico until February 26, 2023, or in Berkeley, California later this year. You will be blown away by their paintings and tapestries, as well as by their relationship and collaboration. They are incredible!
